Sur Mani Ravi Shankar Mishra is one of the finest flutists in India. He grew up in a perfect musical ambiance at home. He started his music lessons with his father Pandit Dinesh Chandra Mishra. In 1994 he was fortunate to be accepted as a disciple by flute maestro Pandit Nityanand Haldipur (Mumbai) who belongs to the lineage of the legendary flutist Pandit Pannalal Ghosh. He has also been fortunate to recive guidence from Padmabhushan late Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan whom he revers as his mentor and guide. Ravi's music is purest in every sense and he is applauded for his aesthetic approch by connoisseurs. Ravi has performed extensively in India and abroad.
